Riders under the age of 18 must complete a notarized waiver, which is signed by an authorized parent or guardian and the parent or guardian, who must be at least 21 years or older must accompany the minor during participation in this event.

IS THERE A MINIMUM FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENT?
No. There is no minimum fundraising requirement, but we appreciate your effort toward earning a minimum of $150.00.
IS MY REGISTRATION FEE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Not all of it. Because a small portion of your registration fee goes to your tee shirt and bib and administration, only a portion of your fee is tax deductible. We estimate that approximately $50.00 of your fee is tax deductible.
ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. All donations are tax deductible. Your credit card receipt or cancelled check can be used as a receipt.
WHERE DOES MY MONEY GO?
The beneficiary of the Carpe Diem/Girasole Ride is The Paul R. Nardoni Foundation.
Since its inception, the Paul R. Nardoni Foundation has provided funding to establish programs that will provide comfort and aid to cancer patients and their families.
The Foundation has no paid staff and all work is performed by volunteers. Almost all events are supported by generous donations enabling the Foundation to keep its cost down around 4%. Therefore, 96% of every dollar you contribute goes directly to cancer patients and their families.
We invite you to visit www.prnfoundation.org for a complete list of the PRN Foundation grant recipients and more in depth descriptions of the Foundations’ work.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
The event is “rain or shine”.
WHAT ABOUT PARKING
There will be some parking at Frenchtown Field and overflow parking available nearby. We will provide directions onsite as the lots fill. We will have a 5-minute “drop off” area for anyone wanting to drop their equipment and then park.
WHAT DO I DO IF I GET A FLAT TIRE OR BREAK DOWN ALONG THE ROUTE
The ride organizers strongly encourage all participants to have basic safety and repair skills, including repairing a flat tire. Please be prepared to bring your own pump and extra tubes for your bike. However, if you are unable to make the repair, marshals and SAG wagons will be available on all routes. If you need assistance please alert a marshal and appropriate steps will be taken to get you back in the ride. Either the marshal will be able to affect the repair, or will secure transport for you to a rest stop where you can obtain additional assistance.
